This is not a book about yoga poses, but rather a book about the way yoga offers wisdom about life. Your perspectives, responses and decisions can be shifted by the culture at the heart of yoga.
The book reads somewhat like a memoir as Shakti revisits her life and the thoughts, ideas and perspectives that shifted as she evolved.
It's very good at helping a person look at their own life as they read about Shakti's life events to see if there is a match. Perhaps there is some new way of seeing areas in our lives that are stuck, or causing challenges. I know I found a match in some areas of my life.
While it's a quick read, it is the kind of book that many will return to periodically to gain new insights. I noticed other reviewers also mentioning this. It might be worthwhile to have a physical copy of it to turn to, especially if a reader finds themselves re-reading it now and then.
Disclaimer: I was offered this book to read for review.
