JEAN G.- 4 STARS

“Farawayer" by Bill DeCarlo. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. It was my first attempt at a novel from Bill DeCarlo, who tells the story, a Fiction story, of Levi, a young man, a Veteran coming back to his hometown in New Jersey, confronted with his dissatisfaction with his present life, unemployed, fleeing a relationship, and aiming at taking a trip, a redemption trip which should allow him finding a job, an initiation trip enabling him to find his life, a goal if not freedom….in his case “freedom might be what’s left when you have nothing to lose”. As one could expect nothing works as planned and Levi is having to find solutions to oncoming challenges, working on one problem after another until next one shows up on his route. The novel is well written with a catching atmosphere, I really enjoyed reading. Would definitely advise reading it.
