When I first picked up Shades, I didn't know what to expect, but as sometimes happens, I was enthralled by the amazing cover (one of the best I have seen lately). This book is quite different from the great majority of supernatural/paranormal romances, urban fantasy or whatever genre you want to fit the book in. Amanda, human with a passion for journalism, starts her own “on the road” trip, somehow Kerouak style, documenting every step on her podcast. Little she knows that this would become the trip of her life. In a universe where angels & demons roam the highways fighting for the souls of “angels down”, souls so pure that are marked to ascend immediately to heaven, she meets John and starts a journey full of action, drama, twists and turns, an emotional rollercoaster that will hook you to the pages until the very end. 100% recommended.
