A.L. Hawkes brings Medusa to life in My Evil Eye. Medusa is disguised as Gorgiana, a reclusive librarian. One evening, she notices two men and a girl who seems to be having a disagreement. Before she can address the situation, a student asks her to help him find a book. The student distracts her for a few minutes until she can hear the girl become distressed. Gorgiana leaves the student behind and finds the girl in the men’s restroom with one of the men attempting to rape her. She rescues the girl and then murders the man. Hades hunts Medusa down and shoots her. When she awakens, she is in an interrogation room. Hades tells her she can be absolved of the murder as long as she cooperates with his plan to find Dellon, Apollo’s new identity. To take part in the plan, Medusa is bait for Athena. She agrees with the thought that she can return to a normal life. There is only one problem, the student who had asked her to find a book was actually attracted to her. Asher asks Gorgiana on a date to a bar. There she begins to become inebriated and agrees to sing karaoke. As she sings, she mesmerizes the entire crowd. When she finishes her song, she attempts to flee, but Asher follows her. She falls into his embrace and almost loses control over her emotions. Gorgiana pushes Asher away and runs to her home. Opening the door, she sees her home has been torn apart. Athena, the one who placed the curse on her, is waiting for her.
