SILVERS SECRET

Silver’s Secret by Lacey Silks continues the fight to bring justice to the victims of Hartley’s human trafficking ring. While recovering from a gunshot wound caused by Martinez, Allie discovered she was pregnant. Laura reveals that James Silver is Fox's father but has yet to inform him. Tristan is shocked when Simone appears. She is alive and well. Simone begins to offer help in taking down the human trafficking ring; however, she will only help if Tristan will resume their relationship. When that doesn’t work, she reveals that she was pregnant and that he is the father of a 14-year-old boy. Fearful that her unexpected pregnancy would cause Tristan to leave her, Allie waits to tell him. His little sister, Emma, altered Allie’s hospital papers to hide the pregnancy. Meanwhile, Simone drugged Tristan and was able to get some semen, which she impregnated herself with in vitro. An unexpected twist brings TJ and Tristan together. From this point forward, Tristan is determined to take care of his son and keep him safe. TJ incriminates Simone and provides everything that Silver Securities needs to bring down the organization. When TJ refuses to go with Simone, she drops the bomb about being pregnant again. Allie has revealed that she is pregnant with twins. Now, Tristan is going to have three babies and a teenager in a matter of months. Simone’s pregnancy is an unexpected kink in the works for prosecuting the human trafficking ring. Will Tristan be able to bypass his past to finish his goal? I hated everything about Simone. She was heartless and vile toward her child. I was also angry at Allie’s deception. Why wouldn’t she tell Tristan she was pregnant? And Laura was selfish by resuming a relationship with James while hiding Fox from him. I saw the Silver family as loyal and accepting, no matter the circumstances. They appear to find attraction in women who carry heavy baggage. This is yet another exceptional book in the series with a cliffhanger ending. The stories keep getting better with each sequel, and I highly recommend "Silver’s Secret."
